What are course reserves?
A faculty member can choose to place required course materials (such as a textbook or DVD) on hold behind the circulation desk, ensuring that all students have access to it. (All reserve items have a two hour check-out period and cannot be removed from the library)
What items can be put on reserve?
Only materials currently in the library’s collection or owned by the faculty member can be placed on reserve. (NOTE: Faculty-owned items will be stickered for processing. The library is not responsible for damage to faculty-owned items.)
If you would like the library to purchase an item to place on reserve, fill out the Request an Item form (in addition to the Course Reserve Request form). Please allow up to two weeks for ordering and processing.
What items cannot be put on reserve?
- Items from other libraries
- Rented items (from Netflix, etc.)
- Homemade compilation CD’s
